Ph.D. in Science from Kagoshima University, with extensive research experience in shrimp immunology, disease pathogenesis in fish and shrimp, the effects of dietary supplements, and the development of vaccines against aquatic diseases.
Currently, he serves as a Professor at the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, where he has trained numerous international students from various regions around the world.
His research work, reflected in over 470 publications in prestigious international journals, has been mainly consolidated through international collaborations with governmental entities and the private sector.
